1/19, Vitrigraph Bowl Class

65.00

Date: Saturday, January 19th, 9:30-2:30pm

Glass cutting experience is helpful but not necessary!

Are you looking for a fun, interesting technique to apply to a fused plate, bowl or just add to your fused glass project? We will be doing a vitrigraph pull from a kiln mounted above your head.  Imagine pulling molted glass from a kiln creating curvy, bent stringers of different thickness & colors. Watch a short video of Sonja demonstrating the technique here: https://youtu.be/2QHrha_r9Ds

This may be the class you have been waiting to take. Invite a friend to come with you. This is a great way to try something new and spend time together.

After the vitrigraph pull, you will be incorporating the free form stringers to decorate a plate or bowl.  We will provide various molds that you can select from.

Cost includes the vitrigraph pull and any of the vitrigraph stringers, 12” sq. base glass, embellishments, and 2 kiln firings.  You will need to purchase your colored layer of glass for the class and lunch.

Bring:  glass cutting tools, if you have them and glasses. No shorts or open-toed shoes.
