10/13, Unique Mud Sculpting with Alcohol Inks Class

165.00

Date: Saturday, October 13th, 9:30-4:30pm

No experience is necessary! So why not ask a friend to join you!

In the morning session of this class, you will learn how to sculpt dynamic images in relief on clear glass.  Using Unique Mud you will sculpt your design on clear fusible glass, we will then fire your finished MUD images onto a colored glass base to create interesting backgrounds for your art.

We will guide you thru some quick and easy exercises that will have you creating flower petals, border designs, leaves, and vines, using practice guides that you will take home and can easily train yourself to create decorative art on glass!

The afternoon session introduces you to the process of combining Unique Mud with Alcohol Ink.  You will work with a pallet knife and stencils to create basic relief images on two 6” tiles. These projects will not be fired, but the MUD will dry hard yet remain porous, and therefore can be tinted with Alcohol ink in fun and interesting ways.

We will do a demo of how to protect your project with clear coat - and, or, resin. You will do these at home after the projects are completely dry

No shorts or open-toed shoes.

Cost includes unique mud, alcohol inks, clear fusible glass, tiles and most other materials for use in the class.  You will have to purchase the colored layer of glass for the firing.
