11/30, Fusing Fun–Winter Fir Tree Class

11/30, Fusing Fun–Winter Fir Tree Class

Date: Thursday, November 30th, 10-12:30pm or 5-7:30pm

Glass cutting experience is helpful but not necessary!

In this class you will build a couple of fir trees to adorn an 8x8 plate.

You will nip or cut the glass into the evergreen tree shape, add a trunk and then decorate it to your individual style.  You could make it snow if you want a winter scene and/or you could add basic shapes to indicate birds in their branches.

We will first fire your project flat and then slump it into a plate mold.

Cost includes clear base glass, scrap glass, dots, frit and other embellishments to make it uniquely your own and kiln firing. You will have to purchase the glass for the background and some glass if you need a specific color that we don’t have in the scrap glass that is included for this project.

Bring: your glass cutting tools, if you have them and safety glasses, if you don’t already wear glasses.  No shorts or open-toed shoes.
