5/8, Fusing Fun – Sparkling Birdbath Class

42.00

Date: Tuesday, May 8th, 10-12:30pm or 5-7:30pm

Glass cutting experience is helpful but not necessary!

The birds chirp loudly in the morning looking for seed to eat or water to take a bath in. Provide a place for your feathered friends to be happy. Create this sparkling bird bath or feeder for your garden.

In this class, you will learn to cut a circle.  It will be the foundation in which to add nipped glass. Various transparent colors will be stacked, creating new colors. Additional clear glass will be added to the top layer for strength and sparkle.

You will leave spaces around the border to accommodate rings for hanging.

Cost includes clear base glass, scrap glass, transparent frit, and 2 kiln firings.  You will need to purchase the border glass and the chain. This project is compliments of Jim at Glasshoppa.

Bring:  your glass cutting tools, if you have them and safety glasses, if you don’t already wear glasses.  No shorts or open-toed shoes.
