Date: Tuesday, July 25th, 10-12:30 pm or 5-7:30 pm

Glass cutting experience is helpful but not necessary!

In this class you will have the option of making either an 8” garden stake or plate; and it's not too late in the season to add some color & attention to your garden or dinner table.

For the stake, you will cut a circle from the 8" piece of clear base glass.  Then you will cut angled strips of glass from the colored glass.  These will be placed so that they are radiating from the center. Frit and embellishments can be placed in the middle to add more interest.

The other option is to create a pinwheel plate on an 8" square piece of the clear base glass.  Just like the garden stake you will cut angled strips of glass from the colored glass.  These will be placed so that they too are radiating from the center. Frit and embellishments also can be added to the middle for interest.

Cost includes clear base glass, scrap glass, embellishments, and kiln firing.  You will need to purchase the colored glass for your pinwheel and rebar if you’re making the stake.

Bring:  your glass cutting tools, if you have them and safety glasses, if you don’t already wear glasses.  No shorts or open-toed shoes.
