8/22, Family Tree Keepsake Class--Fusing Fun

Date: Tuesday, August 22nd, 10-12:30pm or 5-7:30pm

Glass cutting experience is necessary!

Dazzle your family with a keepsake that includes their photos.  Personalize it by including the family name so you can display it with pride while showing off your creativity.

Build your keepsake on the clear 12” base glass. Place a border around the outer edge of glass to create a frame.  This will give you a 10" x 10" area to place your tree.

After cutting out the tree and centering it on the glass, you will apply frit for the leaves and background and at the same time leave empty spaces for your photos.  Arrange white squares on the border to be used for writing your family name.

Stop in prior to class to select the glass for the border and your tree, pick up the pattern and cut it out prior to class. This will allow you extra time to decorate your keepsake.

This project is courtesy of the Stained Glass Crafter’s Workbench in San Antonio, TX.

Cost includes clear base glass, squares to put your family name on, frit, and embellishments.  You will need to purchase glass for the tree trunk, branches and border, and any precuts you choose to use.

Bring:  your glass cutting tools and safety glasses, if you don’t already wear glasses.  No shorts or open-toed shoes.
