Glass cutting experience is not necessary so why not ask a friend to join you!

Perhaps the butterfly is proof that you can go through a great deal of darkness yet become something beautiful!  This bigger-than-life butterfly measures approximately 12x8.  It’s mounted to a 12lb boulder.  We will provide the boulder (if you wish you can use your own just let us know when you sign up).  You will need to purchase your glass color for this project ahead of time. 

We will have the wings and body cut and ready for you to finish. We will demonstrate how to add a second color to the wings as well as how to create the defining black lines. Wire for the antennas will be provided as well. After firing it we will attach the butterfly to the boulder. Your butterfly sculpture will be ready for pickup soon after.

Included: Base glass, black body and wire antenna, embellishments, a boulder, kiln firing.  You must purchase 1sf of colored glass well before class to allow time for us to cut and shape the 2 wings.

Bring:  glasses. No shorts or open-toed shoes.
