Date: Thursday, September 26th, 10-12:30pm or 5-7:30pm

No experience is necessary!

Fossil Imprint is a technique that uses real leaves and other plants to create impressions on glass.

In this class you will make 2 large projects or several small ones by laying out your leaves, sifting the colored frit on the leaves, affixing with hair spray and then transferring to fiber paper then cover with 2 layers of glass. This will be the positive design. You will then make a negative design for your other project.

The plant material burns away leaving fossil-like imprints in the glass..

Your project can have hooks put into it so it can hang or we will slump it into a plate, if you’d rather.

Cost includes 2-12x12 clear base glass, a selection of fern leaves, frit and kiln firing. If you want other kinds of leaves you will need to bring them with you.  You will need to purchase your top layers of glass.

Bring:  glasses. No shorts or open-toed shoes.
