9/9, Music Box Class

90.00

Date: Saturday, Sept 9th, 9-3pm and Sunday Sept 10th, 10-3pm

Glass cutting and soldering experience is a must!

In this class you will make a 3D music box!  Yes, they will SPIN and PLAY MUSIC.  To see this sample piece in motion, click here:  https://youtu.be/7ozdm2PtxSI

You will get to choose between butterflies (our sample), airplanes, ballerina, outhouse, Marilyn (on steam vent), sailboat, dragon, train-this is an additional $20, grand piano or toy soldier pattern kits.

You will start by cutting out your glass (it is included in the kit).

Your next step will be to follow directions in assembling your specific music box by making the box that houses the music.  You will then proceed to build your individual kit and solder it to the top of the music box.

This is a two-day class and might even require some work time on Saturday evening at home depending on which kit you choose and how fast you work.

YOU MUST STOP IN AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE CLASS TO PICK OUT WHICH KIT YOU WANT TO MAKE TO ALLOW TIME FOR IT TO BE ORDERED.

Cost includes music box kit (which includes the pattern, glass and music box) and lunch.  If you don’t like the glass that’s included in the kit, you will have to purchase that.

Bring:  your glass cutting tools, your soldering tools and supplies and safety glasses, if you don’t already wear glasses.  No shorts or open-toed shoes.
